PARTNERSHIPS

Zaniyan Center is actively developing partnerships and collaborations with individuals, groups and organizations with missions and projects that align with our vision.

Current partnerships include a language preservation project that is seeking support from several Oregon tribal foundations. The Coos Language Group is requesting support for native language analysis and publication of stories recorded in both the Milluk and Hanis languages. The Group’s members include Coos tribal linguists and tribal members of two federally recognized tribes; the Coquille Indian Tribe and the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians. Zaniyan Center is providing support for this project through grantwriting assistance and guidance in grant applications.

We are in the process of developing additional cooperative and strategic partnerships with families, tribes, and businesses to share resources in order to achieve our goals. Our current partnerships include:

Eagletree Herbs offers internships in Herbal Medicine Making and is also the current classroom site for many Zaniyan Center workshops.

Peacock’s Feast Farm offers internships in dairy, cheese-making and homesteading skills.

Love Light Herb Farm offers internships in herb farming and monthly classes.
